Ingleton

In the Yorkshire Dales

Ingleton is a small market town of great character and history nestling at the foot of Ingleborough (one of the famous “Three Peaks of Yorkshire”) on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.

Ingleton is a long established Yorkshire Dales tourist location, with lots to see and do, both from the village and nearby. Ingleton is also an acknowledged centre for walking, caving and the great outdoors.

The famous Ingleton Waterfalls Walk takes you through wooded valleys, across the open fells and past numerous waterfalls that change almost daily as the river levels rise and fall.

You can climb Ingleborough or Whernside, or ascend Twissleton Scar to the fantastic limestone pavement from where there are outstanding views of the Yorkshire Dales.

Alternatively descend into White Scar Cave, one of the longest show caves in England.

Ingleton has a variety of shops, a number of pubs and cafes plus a lot of B&Bs and Guest Houses. It is the perfect centre for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Trough of Bowland and is ideally situated for a full weeks holiday.
